I was probably 25 when hiness and contentment became my default emotions. It took a long time, and it took a lot of change, pain and growth. But now that I'm here, it feels permanent. And the emotions of the past feel like they hened to someone else. They are so foreign and distant to me. For some, it may take even longer, and it may take even more. But I cannot imagine even for a second that the struggle wouldn't be worth it if this is the end result.

That's it. I just wanted to share my positive vibes with everybody. The world can be an amazing place if you let it, and you can be an amazing person. You probably already are. Good luck, and please never give up. I hope that today, you all feel a little bit of love. Thanks for reading.

Reading for Pleasure

he first thing I want to insist on is that reading should be enjoyable. Of course, there are many books that we all he to road, either to pass examinations or to acquire information, from which it is impossible to extract enjoyment. We aro reading them for instruction, and the best we can hope is that our need for it will enable us to get through them without todium. Such books wo read with resignation rather than with alacrity. But that is not the sort of roading I he in mind. The books I shall mention in due course will help you neither to get a degree nor to earn your living, they will not teach you to sail a boat or get a stalled motor to run, but they will help you to live more fully. That, however, they cannot do unless you enjoy reading them.

Every man is his own best critic. Whatever the learned say about a book, however unanimous they are in their praise of it,unless it interests you, it is no business of yours. And you who read are the final judge of the value to you of the book you are reading. We are none of us exactly like everyone else, only rather like, and it would be unreasonable to suppose that the books that he meant a great deal to me should be precisely those that will mean a great deal to you. But they are books that I feel the richer for hing read, and I think I should not be quite the man I am if I had not read them. No one is under an obligation to read poetry or fiction or the miscellaneous literature which is classed as belleslettres. He must read them for pleasure, and who can claim that what pleases one man must necessarily please another?

The great and good do not die even in this world. Embalmed in books, their spirits walk abroad. The book is a living voice. It is an intellect to which one still listens. Great Books Sharpen Our Minds

Great books are those that contain the best materials on which the human mind can work in order to gain insight, understanding, and wisdom. Each of them, in its own way, raises the recurrent basicquestions which men must face. Because these questions are never pletely solved, these books are the sources and monuments of a continuing intellectual tradition.

Garl Van Doren once referred to great books as"the books that never he to be written again. "They are the rare, perfect achievements of sustained excellence. Their beauty and clarity show that they are masterpieces of the fine as well as of the liberal arts. Such books are justifiably called greatwhether they are books of science, poetry, theology, mathematics, or politics.

The richness of great books shows itself in the many levels of meaning they contain. They lend themselves to a variety of interpretations. This does not mean they are ambiguous or that their integrity is promised. The different interpretations plement one another and allow the reader to discover the unity of the work from a variety of perspectives. We need not read other books more than once to get all that they he to say. But we can always go deeper into great books. As sources of enlightenment they are inexhaustible.

The interest in many good books that are written is limited to a definite period of history. They do not exhibit the universal eal that results from dealing with the fundamental questions which confront men in all times and places and in a way that men in all times and places can understand. Great books, on the contrary, transcend the provincial limits of their origin. They remain as world literature. The ones we are sure are great are the ones men everywhere turn to again and again through the centuries.

One word then, one smile, is enough

And I'm hy, hy that it's not true

If one day you feel like crying

If one day you feel like crying

Call me

I don't promise that I will make you laugh

But I can cry with you

If one day you want to run away

Don't be afraid to call me

I don't promise to ask you to stop

But I can run with you

If one day you don't want to listen to anyone

Call me

I promise to be there for you

And I promise to be very quiet

But if one day you call

And there is no answer

Come fast to see me

Perhaps I need you

 1、

 True nobility

In a calm sea every man is a pilot.

But all sunshine without shade, all pleasure without pain, is not life at all.Take the lot of the hiest - it is a tangled yarn.Bereements and blessings, one following another, make us sad and blessed by turns. Even death itself makes life more loving. Men come closest to their true selves in the sober moments of life, under the shadows of sorrow and loss.

In the affairs of life or of business, it is not intellect that tells so much as character, not brains so much as heart, not genius so much as self-control, patience, and discipline, regulated by judgment.

I he always believed that the man who has begun to live more seriously within begins to live more simply without. In an age of extragance and waste, I wish I could show to the world how few the real wants of humanity are.

To regret one's errors to the point of not repeating them is true repentance. There is nothing noble in being superior to some other man. The true nobility is in being superior to your previous self.

 2、

 Do something for yourself

As a little boy, there was nothing I liked better than Sunday aftemoons at my grandfather's farm in western Pennsylvania. Surrounded by miles of winding stonewalls, the house and barn provided endless hours of fun for a city kid like me. I was used to parlors neat as a pin that seemed to whisper, "Not to be touched!"

I can still remember one afternoon when I was eight years old. Since my first visit to the farm, I'd wanted more than anything to be allowed to climb the stonewalls surrounding the property. My parents would never rove. The walls were old; some stones were missing, others loose and crumbling. Still, my yearning to scramble across those walls grew so strong. One spring afternoon, I summoned all my courage and entered the living room, where the adults had gathered after dinner.

"I, uh, I want to climb the stonewalls," I said hesitantly. Everyone looked up. "Can I climb the stonewalls?" Instantly a chorus went up from the women in the room. "Heens, no!" they cried in dismay. "You'll hurt yourself!" I wasn't too disointed; the response was just as I'd expected. But before I could lee the room, I was stopped by my grandfather' s booming voice. "Hold on just a minute," I heard him say, "Let the boy climb the stonewalls. He has to learn to do things for himself."

"Scoot," he said to me with a wink, "and come and see me when you get back." For the next two and a half hours I climbed those old walls and had the time of my life. Later I met with my grandfather to tell him about my adventure. I'll never forget what he said. "Fred," he said, grinning, "you made this day a special day just by being yourself. Always remember, there's only one person in this whole world like you, and I like you exactly as you are."

Many years he passed since then, and today I host the television program Mister Rogers' Neighborhood, seen by millions of children throughout America. There he been changes over the years, but one thing remains the same: my message to children at the end of almost every visit, "There's only one person in this whole world like you, and people can like you exactly as you are."

Writing is not easy. I do it everyday.

And I can tell you, it?s quite a challenge.

But, the more I do it, the easier I get to just write.

Sometimes, that?s the most difficult part starting.

When people ask me about writing---how they can write---I often suggest they brainstorm first.

Writing the main ideas collected to a topic, usually produces some great things.

If the things get organized, perhaps through an outline,

then you can write something really great.

Most of the writings I do with spontaneous, I just start writing.

 I just stopped and done.

But I always go over what I wrote at least two times.

The first time I go over my writing is spell-check the word,

It?s unacceptable to deliver a piece of writing with misspelling in it.

The second time, I actually read what I wrote aloud,

and add things that may I missed,

it could be a idea that seems incomplete or something else.

If you he the time, it?s good to put your writing down for a little while,

and read it again later, and to see how you like it.

You may he something you wish to add or suract.

If you he a serious paper to write,

and you he completed all of the things I talked about,

the best thing to do--before you return your paper--is to he someone to read what you wrote and make comments on it.

There is no dou that practice makes perfect.

or at least better, so, if you want to be a better writer in Korean or English,

I recommend that you write as much as you can.

Truly hy and successful people get that way by becoming the best, most genuine version of themselves they can be. Not on the outside--on the inside. It's not about a brand, a reputation, a persona. It's about reality. Who you really are.

Sounds simple, I know. It is a simple concept. The problem is, it's very hard to do, it takes a lot of work, and it can take a lifetime to figure it out.

Nothing worth doing in life is ever easy. If you want to do great work, it's going to take a lot of hard work to do it. And you're going to he to break out of your comfort zone and take some chances that will scare the crap out of you.

But you know, I can't think of a better way to spend your life. I mean, what's life for if not finding yourself and trying to become the best, most genuine version of you that you can be?

That's what Steve Jobs meant when he said this at a Stanford University commencement speech:

Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice.

You he to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You he to trust in something--your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This roach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life.

The only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you hen't found it yet, keep looking. Don't settle.

Now, let's for a moment be realistic about this. Insightful as that advice may be, it sounds a little too amorphous and challenging to resonate with today's quick-fix culture. These days, if you can't tell people exactly what to do and how to do it, it falls on deaf ears.

Not only that, but what Jobs was talking about, what I'm talking about, requires focus and discipline, two things that are very hard to come by these days. Why? Because, focus and discipline are hard. It's so much easier to give in to distraction and instant gratification. Easy and addictive.

To give you a little incentive to take on the challenge, to embark on the road to self-discovery, here are three huge benefits from working to become the best, most genuine version of yourself.

It will make you hy. Getting to know yourself will make you feel more comfortable in your own skin. It will reduce your stress and anxiety. It will make you a better spouse, a better parent, a better friend. It will make you a better person. Those are all pretty good reasons, if you ask me.

Besides, you really won't achieve anything significant in life until you know the real you. Not your brand, your LinkedIn profile, how you come across, or what anyone thinks of you. The genuine you. There's one simple reason why you shouldn't try to be something you're not, and it's that you can't. The real you will come out anyway. So forget your personal brand and start spending time on figuring out who you really are and trying to become the best version of that you can be.

Giving up too soon

Tolerance is painful, but its fruits is sweet.

A man meets a guru in the road. The man asks the guru, "Which way is success?" The berobed, bearded sage speaks not, but points to a place off in the distance.

The man, thrilled by the prospect of quick and easy success, rushes off in the ropriate direction. Suddenly, there es a loud "SPLAT." Eventually, the man limps back, tattered and stunned, assuming he must he misinterpreted the message. He repeats his question to the guru, duanwenw who again points silently in the same direction.

The man obediently walks off once more. This time the splat is deafening, and when the man crawls back, he is bloody, broken, tattered, and irate. "I asked you which way is success," he screams at the guru. "I followed the direction you indicated. And all I got was splatted! No more of this pointing! Talk!"

Only then does the guru speak, and what he says is this: "Success IS that way. Just a little PAST splat."

Rising Moon

There is a hill near my home that I often climb at night.

The noise of the city is a far-off whisper when I climb it. In the dark I share the cheerfulness of crickets and the leisure of owls. duanwenw But what I e to see is the wonder of the moon rise. It gives me peacefulness and simplicity4 that the city exhausts too easily.

From this hill I he watched many moons rise. Each one had its own mood. There he been broad and beautiful moons in autumn; shy and misty moons in spring; lonely and white winter moons rising into the absolute silence of an ink- black sky and orange moons over the dry fields of summer. Each, like fine music, excited my heart and calmed my soul.

We, who live indoors, he lost contact with the moon. The rays of street lights and the dust of pollution cover the night sky. Though man has walked on the moon, in a way it is less familiar. Few of us can say what time the moon will rise tonight.

Still, it resonates with us. If we unexpectedly e across the full moon, huge and yellow over the horizon, we can’t help staring back at its beautiful earance, duanwenw and the moon has gifts to those who watch it.

By enjoying the bright moon, we can melt6 into the quiet of the night.

On Going a Journey

One of the most pleasant things to do in this world is to go on a journey, but I like to go by myself. I can enjoy society in a room, but out of doors nature’s pany is enough for me. I never feel lonely when I’m surrounded by nature.

When I am in the country I prefer to live a country life. I go out of town in order to forget the town and all that is in it. I like hing more room and fewer burdens. I like solitude. When I am in the beautiful scenery, I am looking for solitude, but not for what I ask for.

The soul of a journey is liberty, perfect liberty. To think, to feel and to do just as one pleases. duanwenw We go on journeys chiefly to be free of all obstacles and of all inconveniences, to lee ourselves behind, much more to get rid of others. It is because I want a little space to think about unimportant matters, where thought may grow her feathers and wings.

I can separate myself from the town for a while, without feeling lost. Give me a clear blue sky over my head, green grass beneath my feet, a winding road before me, and let me think! It is hard if I cannot start a game in this lonely field. I laugh, I run, I leap and I sing for joy. Notes:
